Okay okay I admit it, I’ve been really bad about keeping up with this. I started off so strong and then dwindled… it’s like a scene from the gym after New Years! Please forgive me dear friends, I promise I’ll be good!
Now for an update….
I’m still with the same company and I love it but I must admit I’m getting quite frustrated with the politics & scandal & rediculous scenarios that are going on. I just want to go back to being clueless about all of it so I don’t care! Ignorance is bliss!!! I just got back from New Orleans, and I have to say I was not impressed. It was so muggy that you felt slimy at all times and it didn’t have that same cultural appeal I expected. Also, I saw zero damage from Katrina but apparently the outlying parishes got the worst of that storm.
For a while Tristan & I were looking at buying a house around the Cape and Plymouth areas but we have changed our minds! We are moving still, but definitely not near by. We are moving to California! Wahoo! My mom and brothers are out there and we are going to drive across country June 1st to start a new life in a new locale. I’m scared & nervous but also excited!! I would love to reinvent myself and get a job doing something completely different but I have no idea what to do! It’s all so exciting. So my dear readers PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE send me places to visit & stops to make & tours to go on and routes to avoid and routes to take on our fabulous road trip because I have no idea what’s out there!
Other than that… we are just collecting our camping gear and getting rid of basically everything else and preparing for our new adventure.
I can’t wait!

This all sounds so exciting.I’ve never left New England so I have no idea what’s out there. It will be nice to live near your family. I’m happy to see you back online.
I’m glad to see you back online, too. We missed you!
This is exciting news. On your way cross country you should do everything. EVERYTHING. Look through some of the Weird U.S. books — they list all the oddball museums and tourist attractions. And takes hundreds of photos!
@Joan – You must leave New England! There is a whole world out there and it’s a thousand times more exciting off cape!!!
@Wendy – I will certainly check out those books. I’m glad to be back online too of course and was relieved to find you have been MIA too! That means I had half as much entries to read to catch up! Ha-Ha!
How fantastic! I love it that you’re having this new adventure! Are you going to have new jobs waiting, or are you going to just get out there and see what happens?
This is just so great.
Hurray, I’m glad work is going well for you. And California! That’s exciting.
Too bad about New Orleans, though. I’d been hoping it’d be an amazing place (I’ve been craving a trip down there… oh well).
Ahh, curse the water cooler drama.
But still. Woohoo! Why did you two choose California, anyways? Just curious.
Congrats congrats congrats!
