I’m starting a post that I will update regularly… to help me manage my money and here is why:
For some reason unbeknownst to me, my ‘company’ will not process my invoice on the 20th instead of the 22nd. So, I will not receive a paycheck on the 24th of October, instead, I will receive that paycheck on NOVEMBER 7TH awesome right? Granted it’s only two weeks, but two weeks makes a big difference when you have exactly $162.90 in your account until November 7th.
On Friday I will leave Orlando and fly to Georgia, where I will be until Halloween. That same $162.90 has to last me until November 7th so that I can get home and pay the cabs. Nice right? So… I will be updating here as to how much I’ve spent, and what my remaining total is. My hope is that in doing so I will be more conscious of the depleting numbers, and therefore… not spend as much.
Wish me luck!
*UPDATE 1* I spent $5 of my $16 in cash on chicken noodle soup in the convention center. However, I also received Pepsi, candy, tiramisu, and sourdough bread with it… for free. So $5… totally worth it! Remaining account balance… $162.90
*UPDATE 2* I ordered a pizza from the hut for $9, but after delivery, taxes, fees, and tip it came to $18. The only plus to that, is that I will have it for breakfast lunch and dinner today. So the $18 was worth it compared to the $24 burger the hotel offers. So… my new balance is $144.90
*UPDATE 3* On my own this morning, had to pay for a taxi on my own. Without any cash, or not enough to cover the cab fare, I was forced to use the hotel ATM. I withdrew $60 and was charged $3.50 for an ATM fee. So $63.50 withdrawn for a remaining balance of $81.40 - That hurts. At least I now have $50.00 in cash that has to last me through Friday so I can do laundry and pay to get to the airport. HRM… time for some resourceful thinking.

Eesh, ya, I’m broke too.
Well, good luck! And the dragonfly story was so neat, how cool (and random) that that happened!
Every time I complain about money I have to stop myself and realize that EVERYBODY is in this situation. It’s the way our economy is right now and chances are it will get worse. But trust me, I sympathize!!! Thanks for visiting again Mer, I miss you! talk soon? Nature walk?
